Sehwan, an incoming graduate student

Sehwan CHUN joins us as a graduate student, 6 months after he successfully completed the undergraduate program in our department in Kyung Hee University. He impressed me with his brilliant records achieved during the undergraduate years. His undergraduate study was not supported only by a scholarship for his good GPA (about 4.0 out of the 4.3 scales) from the university but also by a two-year FULL scholarship plus an additional grant from Kwanjeong Educational Foundation.

He was well-trained for biology and enjoys both programming and science through data interpretation. He is now interested in understanding diseases from transcriptomics data in the patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Sehwan started his research from July in the KimLab and he is now admitted to the Dept of Biology at Kyung Hee University. Welcome, Sehwan!

There is another thing to celebrate. Sehwan was elected for one of recipients who receives a FULL scholarship (>20M won) for his master’s course from Kyung Hee University, based on his strong GPA record. Congrats on the full fellowship, and I hope Sehwan be a driven, productive and successful scientist in the computational biology.
