Visit to Beijing for Collaborative Research and Seminars

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Beijing, China, from April 25 to 28, 2025, for a series of research meetings and academic seminars hosted by Prof. Yong Cui, Vice President of the China-Japan Friendship Hospital. The visit focused on strengthening collaborative research in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), through the integration of genomics and clinical data across East Asian cohorts.

I was joined by Prof. Sang-Cheol Bae from Hanyang University, whose long-standing contributions to rheumatology research have been invaluable. Three graduate students (Chae-Yeon Yu, Ayeong Kwon, and Hyunmin Im) also participated in the visit and contributed actively to the scientific discussions. I am grateful to Prof. Cui and his team for their warm hospitality and professional coordination, and to Prof. Yin for his valuable partnership. I hope to take our collaborations to the next level in the near future.
