Genetic study on childhood-onset lupus

A new research paper of Jiwoo and Kwangwoo was published in Scientific Reports on July 2, 2018.

The study elucidates that individual’s genetic burdens for lupus have an impact on the age of disease onset. In addition, a genome-wide SNP analysis reveals the associations of two SNPs in XKR6 and GLT1D1 with lupus onset, bringing a new genetic model for childhood-onset lupus in Koreans.
